Cuban street food concept FINCA announces Manchester expansion
The Liverpool entrepreneurs based Cuban street food company FINCA are bringing the concept to Manchester.
FINCA will mark its first foray in the city with a summer residency at Artisan Café Bar in Spinningfields.
The brand appeared on BBC food show Million Pound Menu earlier this month and secured investment from Jeremy Roberts, co-founder of North West leisure operator Living Ventures.
Over the coming months, FINCA will serve its Cuban and Latin-inspired menu at Artisan from 12pm to 9pm, seven days a week.
Dishes will include the Cubanos – a sandwich filled with mojo marinated pork shoulder, horseshoe gammon, mustard, pickles and gouda cheese.
FINCA will also use the pop-up to trial cocktails and a number of vegetarian and vegan options.
Chef Michael Harrison, co-founder of FINCA, said: “We’ve been perfecting our craft for the past two years in the North West street food scene with FINCA so it’s brilliant to have this opportunity to take over a prime location at Artisan to bring our food to the forefront and put our plans into motion.
“We have huge plans for FINCA and believe that Artisan is the perfect place to start our Manchester journey.”
He added: “We’re currently busy planning new menu additions and exciting events ready for our launch next month.”
Living Ventures’ Jeremy Roberts commented: “We are excited to welcome FINCA to Artisan. They impressed a lot of people whilst on Million Pound Menu – myself included – it will great to bring them to the heart of the city and introduce their food to Manchester.”
FINCA will launch at Artisan on Thursday June 7.
