Newcastle team develops card game for creative professionals
Four creatives from Newcastle are launching a card game aimed at helping people develop their skills and careers.
Make It Pop started as a side project last year, but the team behind it are now looking to launch it as a brainstorming tool for budding and established creative professionals.
The game sets out to prepare players for dealing with the best and worst clients possible by offering obscure creative briefs.
Make It Pop’s founders have developed it using feedback from agencies, professionals and students.
Creative director Ade-Lee Adebiyi, one of the co-founders, said: “We’ve had a great reaction to our prototype version and have already visited several design and marketing agencies in the North East.

“We had the opportunity to run a lecture and practical session at the University of Hull. We even had a workshop in Australia which is pretty crazy when you think about it.”
Co-founder and marketing director Matt Martindale commented: “People get into the creative industry because their specialism is something they enjoy.
“We think it’s important that those within the industry don’t let their skills stagnate and continue to enjoy what they do and what they create.”
A campaign is now live on crowdfunding platform Kickstarter. Make It Pop’s founders are looking to secure £2,500 towards mass producing the game.
