West Riding County FA gets interiors make-over
West Riding FA has undergone an interior face-lift!
The organisation, based at Fleet Lane in Woodlesford, Leeds, is the not-for-profit, governing body of football in West Yorkshire.
Since West Riding FA converted to a 3G all-weather pitch two years ago, demands for its facilities – both inside and out - have been at an all-time high.
But although its exterior facilities were now tip-top, the West Riding FA Board prioritized that the interior space – which hosts visiting local teams and domestics and international professional/semi-professional teams, corporate functions and celebrations, was in need of an urgent upgrade to match the superb outdoor facilities.
Enter Ben Johnson Interiors, the Yorkshire-based experts in interior workspace transformation.
Ben Johnson Interiors worked closely with West Riding County FA to ascertain exactly what was required within the budget. It was agreed that the bar area; accessibility; and security, required urgent attention along with the staff kitchen and toilets. It was also established that the whole building needed a more contemporary look and atmosphere – in line with the needs and expectations of the community and corporate partners.
The work is now complete, and the results are impressive.
A brand new, contemporary bar with LED lighting and concrete effect laminates replaces the former bar space; function rooms and door thresholds have been upgraded to provide wheelchair access; and new automatic entry doors with enhanced security and improved accessibility have been installed.
Function rooms have had their existing red metal work replaced with new stylish black frames and glazing, and internal oak doors with vision panels have been installed.
A new grid ceiling has been installed across all four function rooms to enclose all the services and wiring to give a clean finish, and new LED light panels were installed to give them a brighter feel.
For business and social guests, Ben Johnson Interiors supplied flip top tables on castors, with stackable chairs for easy removal to an on-site storage space so the areas can always be used easily for other purposes.
The end result is a great interior venue to match the external facilities, fit for the 21st century.
