OLIVER hires Richard Stainer for CEO, global clients role
In-house specialist agency OLIVER has boosted its global senior leadership with the addition of Richard Stainer, who has been appointed as its CEO, global clients.
Stainer - whose appointment comes hot on the heels of the acquisition of OLIVER’s parent firm, Inside Ideas Group, by You & Mr Jones - has an overarching remit to expand OLIVER’s in-house service to global brand clients.
He will report directly to Simon Martin, founder and CEO of OLIVER and Inside Ideas Group.
He brings two decades’ worth of leadership experience in global advertising and communications, most recently as Partner and Global Head of Media at international talent consulting firm Odgers Berndtson.
Prior to this, Stainer held CEO and MD roles at TBWA and BBH, having started out at DDB. His experience includes running global accounts for the likes of Audi, Diageo, Heineken, Google & Unilever, and agency operations in London, New York and Mumbai.
Martin says: “There’s increased appetite for OLIVER’s way of working, and Richard will be instrumental in rolling out our ‘better, cheaper, faster’ ideology on a global level as part of the agency’s ambitious growth strategy. We’re delighted to welcome him to the team.”
Stainer adds: “OLIVER’s model is such a compelling draw to come back into the thick of the creative sector - it’s committed to agility and totally future-fit for the age of real-time marketing. I can’t wait to become part of the group and help solidify OLIVER’s reputation as the world’s go-to in-house agency.”
