SABIC to welcome 200-strong engineering team to North East in €58m deal
Petrochemical company SABIC will welcome new maintenance partner Bilfinger to the North East following a €58m deal between the two firms.
Bilfinger, which specialises in industrial services and is headquartered in Warrington, won the contract to provide maintenance to SABIC’s two Teesside sites, including processing plant Wilton International.
SABIC, which employs over 540 people across the region, will be joined by the Bilfinger maintenance team over a four-year period.
Tom Blades, CEO of Bilfinger, commented: “Bilfinger has a strong track record of industrial services on such large scale assets.
“SABIC has chosen a reliable partner in Bilfinger with a long history of proven experience to ensure smooth production and short downtimes at one of its largest sites.”
