North East electrical firm sees bright future with B2B growth
A family-run electrical company in Newcastle is preparing to expand operations after securing new commercial contracts.
Ridley Brothers of Gosforth, which celebrates its 60th year in business in 2019, has secured a number of new contracts, allowing them to expand into the B2B market.
The firm, which was founded in 1959 by brothers Thomas and Fred Ridley, is now headed up by Fred’s sons David and Andrew Ridley, who took over the business in 2007.
Speaking about the growth plans, director Andrew Ridley explained: “We’ve already been working on some exciting new contracts this year which have exposed us to more commercial customers whilst our residential side remains consistently steady.”
As well as plans to grow its newly launched properties maintenance division, the firm also aims to expand its team of electricians as well as branch out into the surrounding areas of the city.
Andrew continued: “We’re well-known in residential areas such as Gosforth, Jesmond and the city centre, but it’s our aim now to continue to spread the word of Ridley Brothers in Newcastle’s surrounding areas as well as grow our business to business market.
“We’re now looking to expand our workforce with even more experienced electricians which will enable us to take on even more contracts as we grow into our seventh decade in business.”
