Creative Marketing Services wins major communities marketing contract
Leeds-based Creative Marketing Services has won a major contract to provide marketing for a community integration initiative being launched by City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council.
The agency beat strong competition to be chosen for an ambitious two-year project in support of the government’s Integrated Communities Strategy, which seeks to ‘build strong integrated communities where people – whatever their background – live, work, learn and socialise together, based on shared rights, responsibilities and opportunities.’ The Council is now preparing to deliver this vision with a wide-ranging programme which will engage local residents, businesses, public sector organisations, schools, colleges and voluntary, community and faith groups. Creative Marketing Services will oversee brand identity, website design and development and social media in tandem with various offline services including brochures, leaflets, newsletters and display material.
The initiative will help Bradford District’s diverse communities to connect with each other, creating and strengthening links that cut across geographical boundaries, ethnicity, religion, age, ability, gender and sexuality. Plans are in place for a range of activities designed to promote social participation in community and civic life as well as equality of opportunity, educational integration and greater dialogue and understanding between people of different backgrounds. The Council is also working with the District’s Stronger Communities Partnership Board, chaired by the Bishop of Bradford.
Creative Marketing Services Managing Director, Andrew Batty, said:
“We are delighted to be working on what is sure to be a very exciting and energising project for all involved. The essence of the programme is the celebration of differences and the strengthening of the ties that bind us all, empowering local people to have a voice and a positive influence on each other. Growing an online community through the website and social media will be fundamental to that dynamic. Creative Marketing Services are looking forward to applying our expertise to the task with the skillset of an award-winning digital team. As a full-service agency, we have the capability to integrate the online strategy with a comprehensive range of offline services. I’m sure that this was also an important factor in winning a highly competitive tender.”
Now in its 37th year, Creative Marketing Services is the region’s longest established marketing agency. Based in the rural surroundings of Hollinthorpe Hall, on the northeast edge of Leeds, the company has an extensive list of clients which include governmental departments and brand leaders in scientific, construction, logistics and retail.
