Ex-Duck & Waffle chef to launch new Bermondsey restaurant
A new neighbourhood restaurant is set to launch in South East London next month with former Duck & Waffle chef Tom Cenci at the helm.
Loyal Tavern is set to open in September at the former site of restaurant Village East in Bermondsey.
The former textile factory has been revamped and will comprise 100 covers, two bars and a private dining room.
Chef Tom Cenci will lead the eatery, having worked around the world including a six-year stint at 24-hour skyline restaurant Duck & Waffle.
Tom, who began his career in Michelin restaurants in Paris and London before his journey to remote locations in the likes of Istanbul and Canada, will bring his passion for local sustainable ingredients to the restaurant’s new menu.
House Café Company founder Adam White will be joining Tom in leading the Loyal Tavern, which will focus on cuisine using seasonal British produce.
