Thorngate CEO takes on key charity role
Anne Taylor, the chief executive of Thorngate Churcher Trust has been appointed vice chair of Fusion21 Foundation, a role which will run alongside her work at the Hampshire-based organisation.
The Fusion21 Foundation – part of national social enterprise and procurement organisation Fusion21 – aims to support lasting social change by improving quality of life for local communities across the UK addressing areas of skills; employment, health and wellbeing and deprivation.
Anne says the role will enable her to use her experience at Thorngate to have a positive impact on those being funded by Fusion21 Foundation.
“This is a non-executive role which complements my work in Gosport where I oversee a 44 bed care home and 124 sheltered flats for assisted living,” she said.
“I will be involved in leadership and research and looking at innovative ways the Foundation can help people, which dovetails perfectly with my role at Thorngate Churcher Trust.”
Work carried out by the Foundation’s includes issuing project grants, making social investments and funding research and development programmes, a key point of interest for Anne.
“As part of this new role I will be supporting the chair and other trustees to consider strategic plans for the foundation, new propositions and monitor the impact of its funding,” added Anne.
