New owners to transform Leeds cocktail bar into 'destination' restaurant
A former Leeds cocktail lounge is set to reopen as a restaurant later this year.
The new owners of the Mavericks site on Town Street in Horsforth have announced that they will be opening the venue as Lambert’s Bar and Cookhouse.
They expect that the restaurant will be open by the end of the April, following a major refurbishment to transform the building’s interior.
Mavericks closed in January of 2019, and the site has been empty since then.
It is predicted that the bar and restaurant will bring a number of new jobs to the area.
New owners, Craig Isaacs and Gordon Lambert of G&G Inns, have a portfolio of seven pub businesses.
They commented: “Having found the site in an ideal location, we knew the potential for the building to become a bar and restaurant was significant.
“We’re excited to open the doors to the residents of Horsforth in the very near future.
“We aim to establish ourselves in quick succession and hopefully appeal as a destination venue for the surrounding towns and cities.”
