Yorkshire logistics hub to boost local employment with the creation of up to 500 jobs

A Yorkshire property developer has brought forward plans to deliver a logistics and industrial hub at Leeds Valley Park.

Subject to planning permission, Caddick Developments hopes that its new hub will become Leeds’ premium mid-box logistics destination.

The hub is also expected to boost employment in the area, with between 400 and 500 new jobs to be created.

Situated between Junction 44 of the M1 and Junction 7 of the M621, and a 15 minute drive from Leeds City Centre, Caddick Developments expects the location will attract local, regional, and national businesses.

As well as its Leeds Valley Park hub, Caddick has several other logistics developments, including Wakefield 515, Crosspoint 33, and Moor Park.

Jim Dyson, director at Caddick Developments, commented: “We are confident that Leeds Valley Park is the perfect location for a new logistics hub and will quickly become Leeds’ leading ‘mid-box’ logistics location.”

Jim continued, “Covid and the linked restrictions have highlighted the importance of a resilient supply-chain and online retailers and traders have seen the need to adapt to a changing landscape. The transport connectivity of this site in particular, will make it an attractive proposition.”
