Yorkshire aparthotels brand sets up camp in Scotland with new Edinburgh venue
A Yorkshire hotel brand has announced that it is aiming to resume its expansion programme as restrictions across the hospitality sector ease.
Room zzz Aparthotels, which first opened in Leeds fifteen years ago, has announced that it will be opening a new Edinburgh venue next summer - its first site in Scotland.
The brand currently has 10 properties across the UK, in Yorkshire, London, Manchester, Newcastle and Nottingham.
The new site is the first post-pandemic, and the company has said that it is anticipating further developments in the UK and Europe, with discussions now progressing.
Robert Alley, chief operating officer at Room zzz Aparthotels, commented: “Prior to the pandemic, it was predicted that the aparthotel market would grow three times faster than the rate of hotels and I expect this trend will continue unabated.
“During the challenges of the past 15 months, serviced apartments have fared considerably better than traditional hotels with higher occupancy levels as customers have discovered they offer greater flexibility, a range of excellent facilities and privacy.
“The Room zzz Aparthotels brand has made great strides within the sector, providing a quality alternative to traditional full-service-hotels and bed and breakfasts.
“Despite the recent challenges posed, we remain on track with our expansion plans with the pending introduction of the £20m aparthotel in Edinburgh and are confident that we can grow the brand internationally.
“We will continue to build on our superb reputation, putting guests at the heart of everything we do.”
