150 new restaurants planned for Franco Manca and The Real Greek
A UK restaurant group has announced plans to open up to 150 new restaurants across the country and internationally over the next few years.
Fulham Shore, which owns the Franco Manca and The Real Greek food chains, has reported that it is trading “profitably” and ahead of expectations.
The company, which owns 74 restaurants, said that it expects its sales to remain above 2019 levels until Christmas.
The group’s plans include 125 possible Franco Manca locations and 30 additional The Real Greek venues, aiming to have a total of 230 restaurants in the UK in the next seven years.
David Page, founder and executive chairman, commented: “Since the beginning of the current financial year commencing 29 March, the group has continued to trade profitably and ahead of management expectations, driven by strong performances across our suburban restaurants.
“From July 2021 all restaurants have been open and operating without restrictions, welcoming increasing numbers of customers as the UK’s vaccination programme progresses.”
