IoD returns to Lake Windermere for annual cruise
IoD North West is to welcome directors back to Lake Windermere for its annual cruise, one of the highlights of the region’s business calendar.
The two-hour cruise will be one of the first IoD North West events to be staged in-person following more than a year of virtual events due to the pandemic.
The trip is on 10 September, starting at 5.30pm from the jetty at Bowness-on-Windermere.
Members, non-members, friends, family, colleagues and clients are all welcome to attend the evening for relaxed networking and Cumbrian canapes amid stunning lakeside scenery.
Tickets are £35 for IoD members and £45 for non-members.
Jen Cormack, chair of the IoD’s Cumbria branch and sales and marketing director at Windermere Lake Cruises, said: “It is fantastic to be welcoming IoD North West back to Cumbria. This is the perfect opportunity for guests to catch up with contacts old and new while enjoying a relaxing and picturesque cruise in the beautiful Lake District.”
Steve Bennett, IoD North West chair, added: “It has been a long time since we have been able to welcome guests to such an event in person so this year’s cruise will be extra special. The trip is open to everyone, regardless of whether you are an IoD member or not. If you are looking to re-start networking now that restrictions have eased, in a relaxed environment, please join us and take in the wonderful surroundings.”
