Canadian dessert brand lands in Leicester

Fluffy Fluffy Pancakes is opening its second UK site in Leicester this summer as part of its expansion plans in the UK and Europe. The new site on Granby Street, in Leicester city centre, is expected to open this summer.

The Canadian brand, famous for its light and fluffy Japanese souffle-style pancakes, is looking to recruit multiple new part and full-time team members in the run up to launch.

Following the success of the brand’s Manchester venue which opened last October (and where queues down the street are a regular sight), Fluffy Fluffy is bringing its viral-sensation pancake style right to the heart of the city centre following a £250k investment to the site.

As North America’s leading and largest souffle pancake brand, the company is aiming to open five sites in the UK this year. Fluffy Fluffy first launched its signature souffle pancakes in 2018, taking Toronto, Canada by storm. They now have 15 sites across North America, plus multiple sites in Europe, and in October they opened their flagship UK cafe on Whitworth Street in Manchester.

The new 1,100 sq.ft. Leicester location will be home to Fluffy Fluffy’s signature open-kitchen concept where the brand’s beautiful pancakes are created right before guests’ eyes then stacked and topped with an array of their famous flavours.

Fluffy Fluffy’s Japanese-style souffle pancakes are hand-made to order using fresh ingredients. Every carefully crafted pancake begins with egg whites whipped to soft peaks (part of the secret behind the lightness) which is then slowly cooked at low temperature to achieve the signature round cloud-like pancakes (with their famous wobble).
