Luxury airport lounge to launch at Heathrow with six-figure HSBC support
London based airport concierge business DiamondAir International has announced the opening of ‘En Route’, an exclusive club facility at Heathrow airport, with the help of a six-figure funding package from HSBC UK.
Located on the top floor of World Business Centre 3, En Route is a 3,500 sq. ft. premium facility that overlooks the runway.
With a range of exclusive services and facilities designed to provide passengers with a “world-class” travel experience, the club offers a wellbeing area, complete with a travel wellness spa and clinic, and a planeside arrival and departure meet and assist service.
En Route has been designed to also offer the ability for off-airport and remote check in opportunities to airlines and the airport as part of a global concept that will see DiamondAir grow internationally over the next few years.
The opening of En Route expects to create four jobs initially, with the potential to extend as membership increases. DiamondAir International has committed to hiring from Women in Travel (CIC) - a project empowering and supporting marginalised women into the travel industry.
Christina Lawford, founder and CEO at DiamondAir International, commented: “In recent years, airport travel has been evolving at a faster pace than ever seen before, with supply and demand erratic due to the pandemic and the changing needs of passengers.
“En Route will meet these needs by offering our members an unparalleled travel experience. The funding from HSBC UK has been instrumental in helping us bring our vision to life and we’re proud to create job opportunities for women in travel through this venture.”
Amit Tomar, senior commercial manager at HSBC UK, added: “DiamondAir International is a market leader in the airport concierge business. En Route promises to be a game-changer for travellers looking for a premium experience and will alleviate the strain on airport staff by allowing passengers to check-in away from congested terminals.
Established over 30 years ago, DiamondAir International claims to be “the world’s leading” provider of luxury meet and assist services, taking passengers from airside to kerbside at over 500 airport destinations.
