Award-winning fine dining restaurant opens new venue in ‘the heart of Mayfair’

Having been awarded 3 AA Rosettes in September 2023, fine dining restaurant London Stock is now open at their new home on 6 Sackville Street in ‘the heart of Mayfair’.

Founded by Le Cordon Bleu-trained Assem Abdel Hady and Andres Bernal with the aim of ‘redefining the traditional fine dining experience’, the restaurant was originally based in Wandsworth, opening in January 2020.

In addition to its highly seasonal 8-course tasting menu offered all day, the restaurant offers an à la carte lunch, 3-course and 4-course lunch, and a 3-course pre-theatre menu and 4-course set menu in the evening, to emphasise the restaurant’s ethos of an ‘approachable, yet luxurious’, fine dining atmosphere.

London Stock, led by Head Chef Sebastian Rast, is committed to cooking sustainably through striving towards a zero-waste kitchen. With an ever-changing menu, each ingredient is sourced from selected and trusted suppliers, including Bethnal Green Fish, Natoora, and HG Walter, among others.

To complement the food is an expertly curated wine list by Head Sommelier Lazaros Engonopoulos, including a wine flight for the signature 8-course tasting menu.

For its opening week, Rast’s highly seasonal menu presents elevated dishes across the tasting menu. Starters include Smoked Burrata with beetroot, pistachio and dark balsamic, Native Lobster with tom yum, bok choy and lime, and Glazed Rabbit Leg with girolles, peach and almonds.

Moving onto main courses, the menu includes Cherry Tomato Risotto with basil, parmesan and white tomato foam, Chalk Stream Trout with cucumber, buttermilk and dill, and Barbecued Beef Fillet with black garlic, spiced carrot and mushroom.

To finish, the in-house pastry chef has created a Calamansi pre-dessert with gin, lemongrass and kaffir leaves, and finally a show-stopping Raspberry dessert, finished with fig, honeycomb and pistachio.

The new space at 6 Sackville Street is elegant and modern, while keeping a ‘warm and welcoming feel that is full of character and ambience’, with the main restaurant featuring an open kitchen where gastronomes can observe Rast and his team at work.

Downstairs, the new site also offers an intimate private dining room with a solid amethyst and quartz table seating 12 guests, with its own bar in the wine cellar.

Founder Assem Abdel Hady commented, “We are thrilled to have this beautiful space for the next chapter of London Stock in the heart of Mayfair. We very much look forward to offering a dining experience that surprises and delights, with our guests leaving with truly unforgettable memories.”
