Hicomply expands with new Manchester base

A software company has strengthened its national presence with a North West base.

Newcastle-based Hicomply has opened a Manchester office.

The announcement follows major client wins, including b2b.store, SymTerra and FormusPro.

Bosses at the firm, known for information security management software, say the move follows a 20 per cent increase in headcount and a user base that passed 20,000 by the end of 2024.

They add the move has been underpinned by £3 million investment from BEF, which has fuelled product development and market expansion, with the aim to double in size by the end of 2025.

Ed Bartlett, chief executive at Hicomply, said: “Cybersecurity is no longer just something that sits with the IT team.

“Forward-thinking businesses are coming to realise it is essential for businesses looking to reduce risk, protect their operations and unlock new opportunities.

“We have seen first-hand how helping organisations achieve certification can open doors, whether that is winning new contracts and tenders, building customer trust or entering new markets.

“That is why we are investing in Manchester, to get closer to the growing number of businesses that recognise compliance as a strategic advantage.

“Our goal is to simplify every process and every step, so teams can meet framework standards faster and build on the work they have already done.”

Hicomply’s Manchester team will be led by chief revenue officer Mark Edgeworth.
