FMG aims to transform college’s outreach
A North West marketing agency is expanding its reach into education.
Stockport-based Freedom Media Group (FMG) has secured a new contract with Kirklees College following a competitive tender process.
Central to the winning proposal was FMG’s proprietary planning tool Freeflow, a data-driven platform that allows the college to visualise and target student behaviour both online and offline.
Previous Freeflow-powered campaigns for higher education clients have driven significant results, including a 63 per cent increase in leads and a 12 per cent lift in applications, highlighting the platform’s ability to deliver measurable impact.
Under the partnership, FMG will lead out-of-home (OOH) planning and media buying across West Yorkshire, using Freeflow insights to optimise placements and maximise campaign effectiveness.
Bosses say the agency’s national media partnerships mean Kirklees College will benefit from strategic planning, buying power and highly targeted audience engagement.
They add that FMG’s senior team, bringing over 40 years of combined marketing experience, will oversee delivery, insights, and performance, collaborating closely with the college’s internal teams.
Daniel Thompson, founder and managing director at Freedom Media Group, said: “Our team has substantial experience within the education space and Freeflow has already proved its formidable effectiveness with our other University and college clients.
“We are excited to implement the strategic advantages Freeflow offers for the incredible team at Kirklees.”
Helen Rose, director of marketing at Kirklees College, added: “We have chosen to work with Freedom Media as their innovative approach to data-led marketing is truly unique, particularly in the FE sector.
“As an ambitious college with high growth expectations over the next few years, we look forward to working with Freedom to support our strategic marketing goals.”
