Gordons welcomes seven legal trainees

Yorkshire law firm Gordons has appointed five trainee solicitors and two apprentice solicitors, reinforcing its commitment to developing legal talent in the region.

The new trainees include Charlotte Bramall, Isobel Pryor, Gabriela Maclean, Tia Kirkland – already a paralegal at the firm – and Hannah Cottrell, who returns for her training contract.

They will rotate through four six-month seats across Gordons’ specialist service areas, gaining hands-on experience while honing legal and client relationship skills.

Joining the firm’s award-winning apprenticeship programme are Amira Kun and Isaac Breckons.

Launched in 2011 to improve social mobility within the legal profession, the scheme combines practical experience with academic study, with all salaries and course fees covered by Gordons.

Victoria Davey, managing partner of Gordons, said: “Our seven new trainees and apprentices demonstrated academic excellence, as well as engaging personalities and positive attitudes, all of which will play a key role in them becoming trusted advisers.

“We look forward to supporting our new colleagues to develop as people, realise their potential and become excellent lawyers who contribute to Gordons’, and our clients’, continued success.”

Based in Leeds, Gordons employs 170 people and works with clients including AO, Iceland Foods, Morrisons, Ocado Retail, Wren Kitchens, Molson Coors and Evri.
