Engineer secures work on heritage city development
A civil and structural engineering firm has supported a landmark city scheme.
RWO has delivered ground investigation and inspection services on Liverpool’s docks.
The project is part of a National Museums Liverpool investment to revamp the city’s waterfront.
Spanning the area between Royal Albert Dock and Mann Island, bosses say the scheme will create pedestrian bridge links to Canning Dock and revitalise spaces including the Dr Martin Luther King Jr Building.
Newcastle-based RWO completed ground engineering work, which included drilling 25-metre boreholes and dockside wall inspections.
The work comes as RWO targets £1 million in revenues by 2026 amid commercial operators and developers bringing forward investment and regeneration plans.
Chris Rudd, director of geoenvironmental, said: “The Liverpool dock transformation work reflects our ability to turn around projects rapidly and to the highest professional standards.
“It strengthens our relationship with clients as a go-to ground engineering specialist, capable of supporting major infrastructure and inward investment initiatives.
“We see opportunities right across the UK as facility operators and owners invest in infrastructure and operational improvements.”
