Waracle wins pensions partnership deal
A digital consultancy is set to expand its work in the pensions sector following a significant new agreement with a national provider.
Waracle has secured a multi-million-pound deal with People’s Partnership, the organisation behind People’s Pension, to help deliver its next-generation digital experience.
The long-term agreement runs until 2027 and will see the consultancy deepen its role across consumer-facing apps, digital platforms and internal IT systems, with the aim of improving transparency and helping savers better understand and manage their pensions.
People’s Pension is the UK’s largest commercial master trust, managing more than £35 billion in assets for over seven million members.
As a not-for-profit provider, it reinvests surplus funds into improving value and services, underpinning its focus on accessibility and clarity for savers.
Waracle, which operates across London, Glasgow and Edinburgh, brings extensive financial services expertise and has an established track record in the pensions market.
Its clients include major names such as Lloyds Banking Group, Royal London, Phoenix Group and ScottishPower.
The consultancy previously developed People’s Pension’s existing mobile app and has built a reputation for secure, user-focused digital delivery.
Bosses say the new partnership will support high-value tech roles across Scotland and London and reinforces Waracle’s growing presence in the UK pensions sector.
It also follows the acquisition of Glasgow-based Screenmedia and the appointment of former Kin + Carta leader David Tuck as chief executive, with backing from growth investor BGF as part of the firm’s wider expansion strategy.
David said: “We have ambitious growth plans for Waracle, grounded in a strong track record, long-term client relationships, and an amazing culture.
“This partnership demonstrates the value we bring to clients tackling critical digital transformation.
“We’re proud to support People’s Partnership as we believe that our two organisations share similar values and are oriented towards principled growth.”
Adam Grant-Jones, chief growth officer at Waracle, added: “We’re delighted to extend our work with People’s Partnership, a trusted organisation playing a vital role in helping millions of workers build a better retirement.
“Our mission is to make complex digital services simple, human, and accessible — and pensions are one of the most important financial journeys a person will take.
“This collaboration allows us to build technology that improves transparency, strengthens engagement, and delivers long-term value for savers.”
Nigel Rodgers, chief information officer of People’s Partnership, added: “Technology is central to how we serve our members — from the way they enrol in a pension, to how they view their savings, to how they feel supported in planning for their future.
“Waracle helped us deliver a new mobile app in under nine months, and their approach gave us confidence to scale up the relationship to deliver future enhancements.
“As a ‘for-member’ organisation, we’re committed to continually reinvesting in better digital experiences, and Waracle will play a key role in helping us deliver that roadmap.”
