Tigers and Motorpoint drive forward together

A West Yorkshire motor retailer has formed a new partnership with one of the region’s best-known rugby league clubs.

Motorpoint Castleford has confirmed its official partnership with Castleford Tigers for the team’s 2026 centenary season, renewing its longstanding involvement with the club. 

The agreement will see stadium advertising, pre-match activity, giveaways and competitions running throughout the year as the Tigers celebrate 100 seasons.

The collaboration comes as Motorpoint Castleford prepares for its own milestone, with the store set to mark its tenth anniversary in 2026. 

Located near Xscape in Glasshoughton, the retailer welcomed Tigers players Blake Taaffe and Tom Weaver, along with commercial director Craig Jeffels, to celebrate the launch of the partnership.

Ben Hart, general sales manager at Motorpoint Castleford, said: “We're really excited to be working with Castleford Tigers again this season. 

“Building on our long-standing relationship with the club, we’re looking forward to heading down to the Onebore Stadium and having a real presence on match days. 

“Beyond this, we'll be working with the Tigers to support with broader community initiatives they have planned over the next 12 months.”

Craig added: “We are delighted to welcome Motorpoint to Castleford Tigers as official club partners for our 2026 centenary season. 

“As a national company with a local presence in Castleford, it’s great to be partnering with them again for our special year. 

“We look forward to working alongside Motorpoint to grow their brand locally and building on the relationship for the future.”
