One Touch expands with new integration
A specialist in voice AI for the hospitality sector is accelerating its international growth with a new integration aimed at improving restaurant operations worldwide.
Leeds-based One Touch has integrated its Millie AI platform with OpenTable, enabling restaurants across the UK, US, Canada, Dubai and Australia to automate customer calls and manage reservations more efficiently.
The system handles bookings around the clock, manages food delivery requests and answers customer queries, with features designed to capture preferences, process large-party reservations and support OpenTable Experiences.
Bosses say the partnership marks a “real milestone” for One Touch and follows £250,000 investment from ex-Veezu chief operating officer Andrew Pennock, as the firm looks to expand into new markets and scale its technology.
Craig Pollock, director at One Touch, which recently announced a partnership with Togo, said: “This is a real milestone for us to partner with OpenTable.
“Our innovative technology complements OpenTable’s market-leading online booking platform, giving restaurateurs and consumers the benefits of both booking systems.
“For busy restaurants, every missed call can mean a lost reservation and reduced revenue.
“No shows are also a massive drain on the industry with an estimated annual cost of £17.6 billion of lost revenue.
“It also affects staffing levels and food wastage.
“Millie AI by One Touch uses an automated front-of-house receptionist ‘Millie’ to interact with customers.
“She answers the phone 24/7 and carries out booking confirmation calls.
“The process takes minutes and it’s proving to be highly effective, freeing up the time of restaurant staff so they can concentrate on serving customers and deliver an exceptional in-house dining service.
“The benefits are huge and with the additional funding we have received we are scaling up our offering at pace.”
