Keystone Law appoints licensing partner
Law firm Keystone Law has strengthened its North East regulatory and licensing offering with the appointment of Newcastle-based partner Richard Arnot.
Richard joins Keystone Law from Ward Hadaway, where he was partner and head of licensing and regulatory law, bringing more than 30 years of experience advising leading brands and individuals across the UK.
His background includes acting as sole licensing lawyer to Co-operative Group Food for more than 14 years, alongside advising hospitality, leisure and retail operators on their UK estates.
He has also represented both defence and enforcement bodies in a wide range of regulatory matters.
Richard’s appointment further enhances Keystone Law’s Newcastle team of eight lawyers, which advises on commercial, property, restructuring, and intellectual property matters.
He will work closely with the firm’s nationally recognised licensing team as Keystone Law continues to expand its regional and sector expertise.
James Knight, chief executive and founder of Keystone Law, said: “In recent years we have seen an increasing number of highly experienced lawyers from the North East opting to move away from traditional firms to join Keystone Law and, in so doing, focus more clearly on their clients’ needs.
“The arrival of Richard further enhances the services we can offer in the region, and I am delighted to welcome him to the firm.”
