Flagship Podcast - Whisky Victor- Season Two Launches
LONDON, UK - The second series of Women In Defence UK's flagship podcast Whiskey Victor has started. Created to amplify the voices of women in leadership roles across society including the defence and security sectors, the podcast shares real insights into how these outstanding women are successfully managing their careers and daily lives.
The first episode of the new season is now live and available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube and other major platforms. Featuring Major General Laura Swaan Wrede of the Swedish Armed Forces, the interview explores her experiences of being in the Swedish Forces and how it runs in her family and what that means to her. The conversation also touches on inclusive leadership, technological transformation, national resilience, and the critical role of women in shaping modern defence policy and practice.
Angela Owen OBE, Founder of Women in Defence UK, explains: “This first interview of the second season looks at Swedish family and military life in a truly authentic way. These inspirational true stories hosted on Whiskey Victor represent the talent and thinking that will guide our sector into the future."
Whiskey Victor aims to reach professionals working within the Ministry of Defence, the Armed Forces, defence industry, and adjacent sectors, while also drawing the interest of women at any stage of their life considering a defence career.
Angela Owen OBE continued, "We also recognise outstanding contributions through our awards programme which is now open for nominations from across the world for the 2026 Women In Defence UK Awards.”
