We Are Zenith is now delivering the Level 3 Financial Services Pathway
We Are Zenith is pleased to announce that we are now delivering the Financial Services Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship and are officially accepting vacancies and enrolments. A nationally recognised programme approved by Skills England and fully funded through the government's Apprenticeship Levy, this apprenticeship gives employers a practical, high-quality pathway to develop the skilled administrators their businesses depend on, whether that means bringing new talent in with a structured foundation, or upskilling the people already doing the job.
The programme runs for 12 to 18 months, is recognised at Level 3, and includes a mandatory professional qualification from an industry body such as the CII, LIBF, or CISI, giving learners credentials that are respected across the sector.
Who is this for?
This programme is ideally suited to organisations across the financial services industry, including banks, insurance companies, investment firms, mortgage brokers, and financial planning and advisory practices. It is well matched to roles such as client service administrators, financial planning administrators, financial services administrators, insurance administrators, investment operations administrators, and mortgage administrators.
It works equally well for employers bringing fresh talent into the sector, whether school leavers, college graduates, or career changers, and for organisations looking to upskill and formalise the development of people already working in administrative and support roles. No prior industry experience is required to start the programme.
What it delivers for employers
This apprenticeship is designed to build genuine capability, not simply fill a headcount gap. Learners develop real skillsets and knowledge that translate directly into their roles, meaning employers see a tangible return and not just a certificate at the end. The structured nature of the programme also helps reduce onboarding costs. For organisations already paying the Apprenticeship Levy, this pathway also represents an opportunity to use that funding more strategically. Financial services roles carry significant compliance responsibilities, and aligning funded training directly to those requirements means your Levy spend is working where your business needs it most.
What will learners gain?
Employees in this occupation are responsible for ensuring their work complies with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) or the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) regulatory requirements, and for providing high-quality service to clients and colleagues. This programme supports them to do exactly that.
The programme delivers a well-rounded foundation across four core areas. Learners will develop a solid understanding of the UK regulatory framework, including the FCA handbook and PRA rulebook, and the ethical principles underpinning regulated advice. They will build working knowledge of the products their organisation provides, including pensions, mortgages, investments, life assurance, and general insurance, and understand the advice process from start to finish. They will develop the skills to communicate professionally across written, verbal, and digital channels, building effective relationships with clients, advisers, and colleagues. And they will become confident in the systems, processes, and professional behaviours the industry expects, including integrity, dependability, and a commitment to their own development.
At the end of the programme, learners complete an independent End Point Assessment and finish with their Level 3 Financial Services Administrator certificate alongside a professional qualification from a recognised industry body. Common qualifications include the CII's CF1 or the CII Certificate in Insurance, depending on the learner's role and employer. This qualification is a recognised first step towards senior administration, paraplanning, or regulated advisory roles, and puts learners on the pathway to professional membership and, in time, chartered status.
For existing staff, this is an opportunity to put formal credentials behind what they already do every day, giving them professional recognition, a structured development path, and a clear route to progression.
Funding
As an apprenticeship, this programme attracts significant government funding that can cover a substantial portion, or in some cases all, of the training costs depending on the size of your organisation. Learners are employed and earning throughout the programme, with all study taking place within contracted working hours. There is no requirement for learners to study in their own time.
