Celnor companies land IWM contract
A specialist environmental consultancy has secured a landmark contract supporting the management of some of the UK’s most significant historic and cultural sites.
Riverside Environmental, which is headquartered in Hextable, Kent, has been appointed to a £4.5 million specialist services framework for Imperial War Museums (IWM), working alongside fellow Celnor Group companies Brownfield Solutions and CHPK Group.
The three-year contract will see the businesses provide services including surveying, fire strategy and risk assessment, health and safety support, and ground contamination and remediation consultancy across IWM’s estate, which comprises five nationally significant sites attracting more than two million visitors each year.
Riverside Environmental was the only SME selected among the five organisations appointed to the framework, highlighting the collaborative capabilities of Celnor Group, which brings together environmental, testing, inspection and compliance businesses across the UK.
IWM’s estate includes Churchill War Rooms, IWM London, HMS Belfast, IWM Duxford and IWM North.
Bosses say the contract will enable the group’s specialist companies to combine their expertise while working within some of the UK’s most diverse, protected and historically significant environments.
Jonathan Francis, managing director at Riverside Environmental, said: “Imperial War Museums is a nationally-significant project and we are looking forward to working with our colleagues at Brownfield Solutions and CHPK Group to provide the services in Lot 1 of the framework.
“With access to skills and services across the country, and globally if needed, as part of Celnor Group, we can satisfy complex contract requirements and embark upon a broad range of exciting and diverse projects.”
Simon Parrington, chief executive and founder of Celnor Group, added: “This high-profile framework appointment reflects the strength of the Group’s capabilities and the collaborative approach employed by the companies.
“Uniting specialist companies in the TICC sector, all of whom are entrepreneur-led, creates a unique group of experts who can effectively combine to deliver interesting and important contracts such as this.”
