Accountancy firm 'steps forward' with takeover
An accounting and advisory firm has expanded with a takeover.
BK Plus has bought Aggarwal & Co.
Officials say the move for the Kent-based chartered accountancy – which incorporates Foreman Waller and Edwards & Co – marks “a great step forward” for the business.
They add it will further bolster BK Plus’ South East operations, which include teams in Chiswick and High Wycombe.
Under the terms of the deal, Aggarwal & Co, which has offices in Ashford, Gravesend, Rainham and Sheerness, has retained its bases and staff.
Shaun Knight, chief executive at Walsall-headquartered BK Plus, said: “We’ve had a strong start to the year, and bringing Aggarwal & Co into the group is another great step forward.
“What stood out straight away was the strength of the relationships it has built with clients.
“That local trust is exactly what we look for.”
Anil Aggarwal, senior partner at Aggarwal & Co, added: “This was an important decision for us.
“We wanted to find a partner that would allow us to keep that approach, while giving us the ability to offer more when our clients need it.”
The deal comes after BK Plus, which runs more than 50 offices stretching from Perthshire to Cornwall, bought Huddersfield’s Crowther Chartered Accountants.
