Architects launch built environment podcast
A Sheffield-headquartered architectural practice is launching a new podcast series to explore the challenges and opportunities shaping the built environment sector.
HLM Architects has unveiled Design Exchange with HLM Architects, a podcast recorded at its Sheffield headquarters featuring discussions on design, policy and industry practice.
The series launches on June 4 and will bring together experts from across the practice and the wider built environment sector.
The first two episodes focus on issues currently affecting the industry, including the implications of local government reform and the role of growth funding, viability and long-term investment in supporting development.
Guests in the opening episodes include HLM Architects’ head of regeneration Olivia Jackson, strategic director Richard O’Neill and Metro Dynamics director Martyn Saunders.
Philip Watson, chair at HLM Architects, said: “For over 60 years, HLM has delivered socially responsible, thoughtfully designed, transformative places, and at the centre of it all has been our people.
“We’re fortunate to have some of the industry’s innovative figures within the practice, and their valuable insights deserve to be heard.
“We’re so excited to be able to share our podcast series, Design Exchange with HLM Architects, a new way for us to connect with our contemporaries and share thoughts about some of the biggest issues and topics facing the built environment today.”
