Ahead Partnership strengthens board
Leeds-headquartered social value specialist Ahead Partnership has appointed Caroline Harrison and Emily Large to its board of directors as it continues to expand its programmes and partnerships across the UK.
Caroline brings more than 30 years of senior leadership experience in the third sector, with expertise spanning charity governance, partnership development and community programmes.
Emily, finance director at Sumo, joins with a background in senior finance roles following her training with PwC.
The pair will support the organisation’s strategic direction as it works with employers, educators and public sector partners to improve social mobility and connect young people with opportunities.
Emily said: “I'm passionate about Ahead Partnership’s work around social mobility and giving young people the tools and insight they need to succeed in their careers.
“The organisation delivers work that is genuinely transformative for young people and communities, and I'm really looking forward to supporting its continued journey.”
Their appointments follow a period of growth for Ahead Partnership, including a series of major programme wins and new partnerships.
Founded more than 20 years ago, the organisation now operates nationally with a team of more than 50 employees and works with clients including Netcompany, Landsec, Arcadis and West Yorkshire Combined Authority.
Stephanie Burras CBE, founder and chief executive of Ahead Partnership, added: “Caroline and Emily both bring outstanding experience, deep personal commitment and a clear understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing young people today.
“Their insight will be invaluable as we strengthen our partnerships, increase our reach and continue to support even more young people to build confident, ambitious futures.
“I am delighted to welcome them both to the board and look forward to working closely with them as we continue to grow our impact and ensure that we can support young people to face their futures with confidence for years to come.”
