Gosforth Park Hotel appoints general manager
Newcastle-based Gosforth Park Hotel has appointed Chris Main as general manager as it continues to strengthen its senior leadership team.
Chris brings 22 years of hospitality experience and joins following a successful tenure as general manager at Linden Hall Hotel in Northumberland.
During his career, he has held a range of senior roles, including head concierge, front of house manager and operations manager, working with brands and venues including Macdonald Hotels & Resorts, Seaham Hall and Doxford Hall Hotel.
In his new role, Chris will oversee day-to-day operations and guest experience at the 232-bedroom hotel, while supporting future improvements and new guest offerings.
Chris said: “I’m incredibly honoured to join the award-winning team at Gosforth Park.
“The hotel has built an iconic reputation for its authentic hospitality and timeless elegance and I look forward to working closely with our dedicated team to build upon this remarkable legacy, enhance our bespoke guest services, and reinforce the property's standing as a leading luxury destination in Newcastle.”
The appointment was made by Elite Venue Selection, which operates the Newcastle hotel.
Chris’ arrival comes as the business continues to invest in its hospitality offering and enhance the guest experience across the property.
