Wildfire appoints new chief executive

Sheffield-based events and experience agency Wildfire has promoted Nathan Angus to chief executive, succeeding founder Paul Angus after more than 30 years at the helm.

Nathan steps up from his role as managing director and brings 24 years of experience with the business.

After rejoining the company in 2002, he worked alongside his father to help expand Wildfire's services beyond its original events offering into areas including conferencing, company fun days and party prop hire.

Founded in 1994, Wildfire has grown significantly from its early days hiring out quad bikes for parties and events.

The family-owned business recently relocated to larger premises in Heeley to support its continued expansion.

Nathan will now oversee the company’s operations as Wildfire enters its next phase of growth, while Paul steps down after leading the business since its inception.

He said: “Stepping into the role of chief executive was a natural next step for me, and it’s an honour to be following in my Dad’s footsteps after he faithfully fulfilled the role for 30 years.

“We’ve had a fantastic recent period of growth, fuelled by our unique offering coupled with a strong team, who have established deep-rooted relationships with customers across the UK.

“I look forward to leading our continued success and beyond.”
