Fairmont St Andrews appoints general manager
Luxury resort Fairmont St Andrews has appointed Kristian Campbell as general manager as it prepares for its next phase of growth ahead of its 25th anniversary.
Kristian brings more than 20 years of senior hospitality leadership experience spanning luxury hotels, resorts and service-led businesses.
He joins from Elanic Medical, where he held a senior executive role, and previously served as resort general manager at Crieff Hydro Resort.
He is also familiar with St Andrews, having previously led the Rusacks Hotel as general manager, where he helped strengthen its position within the luxury hospitality market while building relationships across the international golf sector.
In his new role, Kristian will oversee operations across the 520-acre resort, focusing on guest experience, talent development, local partnerships and continued commercial growth.
He said: “Having previously worked in St Andrews, I know what makes this part of Scotland so special.
“Its history, natural beauty and global reputation are remarkable, but it is the warmth of the people and strength of the community that leave a lasting impression.
“Fairmont St Andrews is an exceptional property with a talented team and a reputation built over many years.
“I am excited to return and help shape the next chapter, focusing on outstanding service, memorable stays and continued growth across every part of the business.
“As the resort approaches a quarter of a century of welcoming guests, there is a real opportunity to celebrate everything that has been achieved while continuing to evolve for the future.
“I look forward to working alongside colleagues, local partners and the wider leadership team to build on that success.”
Set overlooking St Andrews Bay, Fairmont St Andrews is known for its golf courses, dining venues, wellness facilities and luxury accommodation.
Kristian’s appointment comes as the resort looks to build on its reputation as one of Scotland’s leading hospitality destinations.
