Hargreaves Services appoints chief executive
County Durham-based environmental, infrastructure and property services group Hargreaves Services has appointed Simon Hicks as chief executive.
Simon succeeds Gordon Banham, who led the AIM-listed business for more than 20 years.
He joined Hargreaves as chief operating officer and a board member in June 2025, bringing senior leadership experience from infrastructure, energy, utilities and construction businesses including Cape, Altrad Services, Bilfinger and Evero Energy.
As chief executive, Simon will lead the next phase of Hargreaves’ growth across its services and land divisions, as well as its German joint venture, Hargreaves Raw Materials Services GmbH (HRMS), which is based in Duisburg.
Simon succeeds Gordon Banham following a planned leadership transition, with Hargreaves continuing to build on its long-term strategy across the environmental, infrastructure and property sectors.
