Tej Kohli is an international businessman and philanthropist, with a diverse portfolio of commercial and charitable operations in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and India. Mr Kohli established his first company, Grafix Softech, in the late 1990s, and it is now one of a number of flourishing high-tech companies based in Costa Rica. The company also has a significant presence in India, along with a number of other businesses owned by Mr Kohli. Still privately owned, Grafix Softech has a turnover of around 100 million dollars, and employs just over 800 people worldwide. Mr Kohli also has significant interests in a number of growth industries, ranging from real estate in the Middle East, to reconstructive and cosmetic surgery worldwide. He continues to invest in forward-looking industries, while retaining a personal interest in IT development and ensuring his own companies remain at the head of their chosen field. Mr Kohli’s charitable works are directed through the Tej Kohli Foundation. The Foundation has two key areas of focus: to provide nutritional and educational support to under-privileged children in Costa Rica; and to support, fund and promote corneal transplants in India to alleviate corneal blindness. As with his business interests, Mr Kohli is constantly looking for new opportunities where direct, targeted, charitable support will change people’s lives.
