Googly woogly
Google is a godsend to research - you can find out anything from finding out what a Chinese Mitten crab looks like to finding a recipe for a ‘Funky Monkey’. It’s good to see that the search engine doesn’t ever overestimate its users - anyone searching for ‘Britney Spears’ will also find their way even if they hideously misspell the popstar’s name. In three months, more than 1000 ways of spelling Britney Spears have been tried by UK users, including ‘brinthey spears’, ‘brirrany spears’, ‘buttney spears’, ‘grittney spears’, and ‘prietny spears’. We can only hope that the misspellings were down to the average Britney searcher being about 10 years old.
