If Only My Dog Was Human?
34 percent of the American women dog owners would want their dog to be their lover if it was human, according to rather worrying research by the American Kennel Club. In addition, an incredible 18 percent of dog owners said they have included (or would include) their dog in their wedding ceremony. The research also found that one in seven dog owners said their partner is jealous of their relationship with their dog. Reasons stated include: ‘I prefer to cuddle with my dog rather than my partner’ (12 per cent); and ‘I did more for the dog’s birthday than my significant other’s’ (3 per cent).
