Who's a Pretty Unlucky Boy Then?
A mischievous parrot’s repeated calls of “I love you Gary” to bemused owner Chris Taylor and his horrified girlfriend Suzy Collins has provoked a confession of infidelity. Timesonline.co.uk reports that Ziggy the African grey parrot would make slurpy kissing noises everytime the name Gary was mentioned on the TV and imitated Suzy’s voice to say “I love you Gary” whenever she and Chris cuddled on the sofa. The couple have now split up, after Suzy confessed to a month-long fling with the mysterious Gary. Ziggy didn’t do too well from the separation either - Chris gave the parrot away as he couldn’t bear the bird repeating the other man’s name. Chris said: “I love him to bits and I really miss having him around, but it was torture hearing him repeat that name over and over again.” Suzy commented: “I’m surprised to hear he’s got rid of that bloody bird; he spent more time talking to it than he did to me. I couldn’t stand Ziggy, and it looks now the feeling was mutual.”
