Washing machine turns on owner
A man in Reykjavík had to call the police after being held captive while doing the laundry, reports Icelandic newspaper Fréttabladid. The man told police that turning on the washing machine caused it to jerk and lurch against the laundry room door, blocking his only exit. Police officers remarked that this was ‘just one more example that doing laundry is not suitable work for a man’.
Equally stupid local men worried about a similar situation are reminded that 101 is the best police number for this kind of ‘emergency’.
