And people complain about the NHS...
A hospital may not be the best place to start a fight, but at least you know there’s going to be someone on hand to help if any serious damage is caused. If you’re a doctor, though, it might not be entirely appropriate to have a bit of fisticuffs in the hallways.
A routine appendix operation in Belgrade went slightly off the rails when two surgeons started fighting and stormed from the operating theater to settle their dispute outside, reports Reuters. Surgeon Spasoje Radulovic was operating when his colleague Dragan Vukanic entered and made a remark that started a quarrel, according to the anesthesiologist on duty. She said: “At one moment Vukanic pulled the ear of the operating doctor, slapped him in the face and walked out.”
Radulovic followed and an all-out fight ensued, resulting in bruises, a split lip, loose teeth and a fractured finger. Thankfully for the then-unconscious patient, the operation was successfully completed by the attending assistant doctor.
