Lottery turns down car repaint
National Lottery Good Causes yesterday revealed the top ten most unusual requests that it has received for funding, and at number one was a man who wanted £500 to respray his Ford Capri. Another claimed that he had proved Einstein and Newton were wrong and wanted to publish his findings. The favourite here at bdaily Towers, however, is the woman who wanted funding so that she could give her garden a makeover. When asked how this would be of benefit to the wider community, she said that she would invite her friends round for a barbeque.
The full list can be found at www.lotterygoodcauses.org.uk, along with ten recent good causes which were awarded funding. If you would like a new kitchen or better road crossings for frogs in your area, do not vist www.lotteryfunding.org.uk.
