'Dead' mum visits son at work
Faking the death of a family member for sympathy or money is a bad enough thing to do at the best of times, but for one Romanian man karma caught up with him almost immediately. Florin Radu Hretu was sacked after his mother visited him at work, minutes after he told his boss she had just died. He had just asked to borrow some money to pay for her funeral and was given the equivalent of £150 when his mother turned up. He had to pay it back, was then fired, and is also being investigated by police for fraud.
