Air Force base for sale
Not long ago, we alerted bdaily readers’ attention to an ebay auction for a working Johnny 5 robot from the movie Short Circuit. At the time, we called it “the greatest ebay item ever”, but earlier this week we noticed something even better. Anyone looking for a secret base from which to take over the world could do much worse than the former Larsen Air Force Base Complex in Washington State.
The facility occupies a 57-acre site, and has 16 underground buildings including three missile silos and a 100ft control dome building (whatever that is). The asking price is $1.5m, but the deposit is only $300,000. That’s not too bad…
If anyone is interested in the property, they might also want to look into getting a sign like the one for Kelvedon Hatch Secret Nuclear Bunker (if you want to let people know where you are).
