Latest victim in the war on yobs: ketchup
Police in a Norfolk town have banned children from buying tomato ketchup in a bid to curb anti-social behaviour. Supermarkets in Caister are being asked not to sell squirty bottles of ketchup to youngsters, reports Sky News.
It follows a number of complaints about sauce being sprayed over homes and cars. Eggs are also banned.
Sergeant Andy Brown, of Norfolk Police, admitted the ban may sound bizarre but said it was proving effective. He said: “I know it sounds a bit daft, but it has made a difference because we’ve had no more reported incidents since the supermarkets came on board.”
