Idiot prank callers
A driver and his passenger in north St. Louis County, Missouri, were so desperate not to receive a driving ticket from a Policeman, that the pair pulled a stunt either incredibly stupid or so clever it should have worked.
After being told to pull over, and before the Policeman had approached the stationary vehicle at the side of the road, he noticed the passenger pick up his mobile to make a call, KMOV.com reports.
It turns out, the man called in a fake robbery at a nearby convenience store, in the hope the approaching officer would have to respond to that instead of writing his friend a ticket.
Unfortunately, the plan was scuppered when the dispatcher heard the officer in the background.
