Male stripper left blushing
A Welsh stripper is being investigated as a suspected spy having set fire to a car in Moscow. Alistair Penney was arrested running from a burning Mercedes Benz. He claimed he did so ‘to cheer himself up’.
Russian police released a video showing Penney grinning as he tried to explain the reasons for his actions. He initially denied the allegations but was caught off guard when two lighters and a can of furniture polish were found in his pocket.
He went on to change his story again. He originally claimed that ‘I was in a bad mood. The sky was grey and it started to rain. Suddenly I saw a Mercedes. It was so old so to cheer myself up I decided to set the tyre on fire’. He later said he wanted to test the flammability of the polish.
Although his changing stories suggested he may have been a spy, a spokesperson for the Russian police said he is more likely to be charged with willful damage of property than with espionage.
