Tyneside Romance
Yes, we’re aware that it’s not even Christmas yet, but the Tyneside Cinema in Newcastle is already gearing up for Valentine’s Day.
The cinema wants to find out the North East’s favourite romantic film in time for a special screening on Valentine’s Day. Any film can be suggested, and the film which receives the most votes will be shown as part of the cinema’s Valentine’s Day celebrations – assuming they can get a copy…
Voting is open now, and closes on 31 January 2009. Go to http://www.tynecine.org/love/ to put forward your suggestion. We’re betting that Brief Encounter will be in the running, and our editor would very much like Four Weddings and a Funeral to be nowhere near the top ten.
