Cold weather continues, claims large mouse
The news was bleak yesterday for all those affected by the bad weather in January – we’re looking at another six weeks of winter.
That’s the forecast from Punxsutawney in Philadelphia, anyway. The world’s most famous groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil, came out of his burrow to predict that we’ll be seeing another month and a half of cold weather.
There is some hope of an early spring, however – Buckeye Chick of Ohio and Staten Island Chuck of New York both put in favourable forecasts. And Phil’s predictions have been proven to be correct only 39% of the time anyway, according to the StormFax weather service.
