FIRST there was yoga, then pilates, then yogalates and now doga* – the latest exercise craze to sweep America.
Doggy yoga allows participants to stretch and relax with their furry friends, creating a strong bond between owner and pet.
Sessions begin with owners taking deep breaths to start the relaxation process, while the animals hang out in a different area.
The dogs then enter the class and are used to help people reach farther in poses, with nuzzling becoming a way to hold positions.
The idea is for everyone, dog and human, to benefit mentally and physically.
